What a way to finish the year! A BBQ in December!
Ten hashers, 3 hares (incl Ankle Biter), 2 more kids, 2 virgins, and a partridge in a pear tree gathered on a bright and sunny Brax day for the inaugural Just Emeline and Just Jose trail – who, by the way, volunteered to hare a trail at their very first hash, just like Just Fred
The runners and walkers set off following some colourful markings with the runners soon getting lost due to either misunderstanding the (arguably very confusing) instructions or just being colour blind. The walkers were led on trail by young Zahara to the On In at the hares’ own home following a trail of bottles leading to the chest of beery treats. Eventually the runners arrived, all at different intervals and we began the pre-circle apéro starting with ET and Tweety Pie’s homemade mulled wine, with and without rum, respectively.
Very quickly Just Jose fired up the BBQ (literally!) and we were treated to makeshift sausage sandwiches whilst equally keeping warm next to the BBQ. As we huddled dangerously close to the lit BBQ, we began the circle and:
1. Rewarded the hares for their excellent trail and post trail sausage party
2. Welcomed Just Diene & Just Danny to the TH3 and checked their feelings towards that famous Dutch beer which is banned from the Toulouse Hash. We hope they will be back!
3. Punished those for not in Christmas attire
4. Rewarded VC, ET, Dicken Cider and Hairy Clam for their stellar efforts with the Christmas attire
